Chris Williams
I’m Chris Williams, an adventure seeker, creator, and lifelong adventurer. With over 35 years as
an Infrastructure Architect, I’ve built scalable, resilient systems that empower businesses and drive innovation. My
career reflects a dedication to problem-solving and creating sustainable solutions, from enterprise virtualization to
disaster recovery strategies.
Beyond technology, I live a life enriched by exploration, storytelling, and connection. My self-appointed spirit guide,
the Pizote (or Coati), embodies qualities I admire—resourcefulness, mischief, resilience, and loyalty. Like the Pizote,
I embrace challenges with adaptability, a sense of humor, and an unwavering curiosity for the world around me.
I am currentluy writing a manuscript called The Pilgrim’s Compass, a timeless exploration of the Camino de Santiago, inspired
by my seven journeys and counting, along its storied paths. The book goes beyond the practicalities of a guidebook to delve
into what the Camino truly is and what it offers—profound insights, personal growth, and a compass for navigating life itself.
I also express my creativity through Pizote Ciderworks, where I craft artisanal ciders from Sonoma County’s organic apples.
This labor of love celebrates sustainability, craftsmanship, and the joy of sharing something meaningful. My adventure
blogs document my passion for exploration—whether cycling across Argentina, embarking on jeep adventures through Mexico
and Central America, or hiking and backpacking in awe-inspiring landscapes.
